Trauma-informed yoga is more than a set of modifications or a trend-driven label. It is a way of teaching that considers how every element of the practice, from cueing and pacing to relationship, environment, and philosophy, may affect the people in the room. This training helps you develop a grounded, embodied, and culturally aware foundation so you can lead with integrity, adapt with clarity, and serve with genuine care. This program is a strong fit for those who want to deepen their trauma-informed knowledge, fill gaps left by prior training, revisit yoga psychology through a trauma-informed lens, or strengthen the way they serve students and clients. At MelMarie Yoga, trauma-informed awareness is woven throughout all of our full training programs. This certification offers a focused opportunity to study these competencies in greater depth and apply them directly to your own work.

This continuing education experience is designed for yoga teachers, wellness providers, and helping professionals who want to deepen their ability to serve. Rooted in yoga, neuroscience, and integrative health, the training combines evidence-informed education with practical, embodied application. You will study trauma recovery, nervous system regulation, prana vayus, trauma-informed Yoga Nidra, yoga psychology, and the application of yoga for anxiety and depression. The curriculum also includes more than eight hours of chakra-based application and Ayurvedic psychology.

Throughout the training, you will explore teaching principles, ethical scope of practice, adaptive approaches, and the role of presence, language, sequencing, and philosophy in creating more responsive yoga spaces. You will gain practical tools for working one-on-one, adapting practices for diverse needs, and applying yogic wisdom with care and discernment. In addition to the self-paced curriculum, students receive ongoing Voxer coaching with Mel. This provides direct space for questions, reflection, and support as you consider how to apply the material within the communities and settings you serve.
