Graduates Can...
Refer to themselves as a self care ambassador, mindfulness advocates, wellness advocates, certified in foundations of yoga.
Guide mindfulness tools (based on the three meditation practices within foundation course program), breathing practices (based on the three breathing practices within foundations course program) stress management yoga experiences for peers, community and specific USO programming.
Support RYT yoga teachers in facilitating, guiding and leading a yoga class or event. (i.e. lead relaxation at end of practice).
Graduates should not...
Refer to themselves as yoga teachers, yoga therapists, therapeutic yoga teachers, RYT yoga teachers, therapists, etc.
Teach therapeutic yoga classes without additional training and continuing education.
Touch, hands on assist, or adjust participants in guided experiences.
Fulfill unit requests unless vetted to do so or is completing further yoga training education to attain an RYT certification.
