Eligible Military Spouses are entitled to education tuition through Military One Source providing spouses coverage for yoga teacher training at MelMarie Yoga. MelMarie Yoga provides additional full ride scholarship on top of the $2000 spouses are eligible for spouses pursuing their 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Trainings.  For spouses pursuing their 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training, MelMarie Yoga discounts the remaining balance with the military 15% discount offering payment plans on the remaining balance to make trainings accessible. Spouses can begin with the 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training and upon completion, use their remaining $2000 on the 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training. • The Defense Department expanded scholarship eligibility for military spouses as part of its commitment to take care of service members and their families.
• The My Career Advancement Account Scholarship is open to spouses of active-duty service members in pay grades E-1 to E-6, W-1 to W-2 and O-1 to O-3 who have successfully completed high school and have the ability to request tuition assistance while their military sponsor is on Title 10 military orders.
• Spouses married to members of the National Guard and reserves in these same pay grades are eligible. You can check your eligibility for the scholarship by visiting the MyCAA website and applying for an account.

• Once you meet with your Career Coach, you will request an ETP from Mel to submit. This takes up to 14 days for approval. Mel will work with you on the logistics and getting started during that time period. Note that you need to approve the funding for it to be approved so be on the look out for the approval so you can verify the funding and then you are good to go! 

• If I use the MYCAA Scholarship, will I still have to pay expenses out of pocket for the 200-hour course? What about the 300-hour course? Spouses do not have to pay any additional expenses out of pocket for the 200-hour course. Spouses enrolling into the 300 Hour course will have to pay the remaining $1230 on their 300 Hour Tuition after the MYCAA $2000 coverage.

• Do I have to pay the scholarship back if I do not complete the program? Spouses do not have to pay the scholarship back. 

• Are there other ways MelMarie Yoga supports military spouses? Yes, MelMarie Yoga provides 15% discounts on all other training programs including Meditation Training and Jyotish. We also provide free resources and free on demand access for military spouses. • What do I do if I begin the program and my spouse deploys (making it impossible for me to continue the program)? Can I pause the program to finish when my spouse comes back? The good news is that the way we structure our online trainings, it makes it easy to continue the journey during PCS or deployments. Students are eligible to take hiatus as long as they let Mel know and she finds ways to support you during transition periods or hiatus. 

• How long does it take for me to find out if I am eligible? By calling Military OneSource to speak to a Career Coach at 800-342-9647 you can find out if you are eligible. Once you meet with your career coach you are eligible to submit your ETP for funding approval. 

• How long does it take for approval after I apply for the scholarship?  Up to 14 days.
