Through advanced study in adaptive yoga, biomechanics, yoga philosophy, mindfulness, special populations, whole-person health, self-care, and professional development, you'll learn to think critically, adapt skillfully, and make informed decisions about the practices you offer and the people you serve.
Our faculty brings extensive experience across yoga therapy, healthcare, integrative health, movement, mindfulness, and professional education. Throughout the program, you'll be supported in refining your craft while exploring how your training can complement the work already happening within client-centered, community, wellness, and healthcare environments. With more than 100 5-Star reviews on Yoga Alliance, and over a decade of training teachers- we understand the industry and the evolving framework of what makes teachers successful and the applied teaching experience with real-world integration. Our experienced instructors walk with you through the journey supporting you in establishing your craft as a practitioner.
For students interested in continuing into professional yoga therapy, this 300-hour training also serves as part of our larger Professional Yoga Therapy educational pathway. "This was an amazing launchpad! Melissa is a master at facilitating discussion. The experiences that each person brought to the program were very enriching. This has been one of the most transformative experiences I have done so far in this lifetime. Weekends built one after another and each time exceeded what I thought I would learn and feel." Once you enroll, Mel will set you up on Voxer to begin mentoring. Mel will mail you your supplies and meet with you 1:1 via zoom to walk you through housekeeping, booking zoom classes and resources and gems you have access to. You can begin your journey from there and then we gather as a group in January.
The experience is designed to give you both the education and the spaciousness to integrate what you're learning into your teaching, your professional goals, and your own relationship with yoga.
When our trainings moved online in 2020, we initially wondered what might be lost without everyone learning together in the same physical space. Instead, we discovered the value of greater accessibility, more personalized support, and new ways for students to integrate their education into real life. With feedback from our community, that experience shaped the hybrid model we offer today.
Students can experience the connection of our in-person training weekends while also having access to livestream participation when needed, 1:1 mentorship, and the ability to develop your craft also through remote teaching skills and workshops. Our goal is to create a person-centered learning environment where students have the time, support, and flexibility to develop their teaching competency in a way that works within their lives.
ACCESSIBILITY
Integrating Zoom throughout the program creates a more accessible training schedule, offers flexibility when needed, and provides additional opportunities to learn and integrate between in-person weekends.
PERSON CENTERED
Allows more 1:1 for trainees to develop their professional interests and have both the community in person and the ability to customize their education, weekly practice teaching, and professional implementation access.
TEACHING ONLINE
Getting comfortable with online opens up many professional opportunities and expands trainees ability beyond location or in person dependence. This expands one's skillset to foster the capacity of dynamic teaching delivery.
DEEPER INTEGRATION
Allows more access to integration sessions, practice teaching and the developmental depth to apply throughout the week in addition to immersive training weekends.
