Mentoring + Application

Trainees receive a full spectrum of mentorship throughout their training experience that encompass personal development, connection, inquiry and the art of self care to clinical application, processing, development and business coaching to support their deepest desires in pursuing a work in Yoga Therapy. Our mentoring offers a person centered aspect to this training program that aids self accountability and program navigation so trainees feel clear, seen and inspired throughout their journey with The Institute for Integrative Care.

30 Hours of  1:1 Mentoring

Upon enrollment, trainees will receive their Professional Development Manual. Our Professional Development manual offers mentorship related handouts, resources and tools to guide mentoring sessions. Furthermore, mentoring sessions are intended to support trainees through their personal and professional application throughout the program. Trainees have 30 mentoring sessions they can schedule up to 15 sessions in one year or create a bi-monthly scheduled for mentoring. Mentoring sessions also support trainees during their practicum delivery and clinical hours.

First Fridays

First Fridays are scheduled every First Friday of the month. Trainees are required to attend at least 12 sessions. These sessions allow students to participate in discussions and teachings that were discussed in modules and a-synchronistic learning to be applied in field application whether that be sessions they are conducting for the practicum or developing their Yoga Therapy services. Each First Friday has a theme that guides the discussion.

Additional Support

Our Yoga Therapy Trainees have access to Mel and team 24/7 through our mentoring app that allows us to touch base or dive into a topic. Inquiries and messages are replied to 24-48 hours within receiving and offer a supportive way to ask questions that may not require a full one hour mentoring session.
